The Weird Sisters were a very popular band in the wizarding world, and on the Wizarding Wireless Network. Among the band’s instruments were a set of drums, several guitars, a cello, a lute, a double bass and some bag pipes. When performing in Hogwarts during the Yule Ball, they performed on a magically-appearing stage. All members of the band were described as being extremely hairy and all wore black robes that had been artfully torn.
Madam Celestina Warbeck was a popular singer known as “The Singing Sorceress” and usually performs with a chorus of banshees. She is often featured on the show called Witching Hour which runs on the Wizarding Wireless Network. Celestina’s latest album was entitled You Stole My Cauldron But You Can’t Have My Heart. The promotional tour included a show in Liverpool; fans desperate to arrive at this concert were involved in a three-broom crash.
The Hobgoblins were a popular wizarding band. Their lead singer, Stubby Boardman, retired after being hit on the ear by a turnip (presumably in an act of bottling) at a concert at Little Norton Church Hall in 1980. It was said by The Quibbler in 1995 that he was in fact Sirius Black in disguise, based on the word of Purkiss, who claimed that she was having a romantic dinner with him on the night he supposedly murdered Peter Pettigrew and twelve Muggles. In 1996, The Quibbler claimed this person was Mina Lima in disguise. Both claims were false.
